Seattle for Artists and Art Enthusiasts

Art

Seattle has a thriving arts community. For example, there are at least three art walks each month including First Thursday in Pioneer Square, Second Saturday in the Ballard neighborhood and First Friday in the Fremont neighborhood. The internationally renowned Seattle Art Museum (SAM) offers rotating installations, an Asian art museum, the Olympic Sculpture Park and a great restaurant, TASTE. According to a 2007 study from Americans for the Arts, Seattle is #1 for the most arts-related businesses per capita in the U.S.

Theatre and Music

With Broadway and off-Broadway touring productions happening nightly, the Seattle Symphony Orchestra, the Seattle Opera and the Pacific Northwest Ballet, Seattle offers something for every theatrical interest. Starting with Seattle’s architecturally-famous Experience Music Project, to venues such as the Triple Door and the Showbox, Seattle is considered a great city for musicians and music enthusiasts.
