Undergraduate Housing 2015–16: Assignment Priorities

Assignment Priorities

Current residents who apply by the April 14 deadline will have the highest priority for on-campus housing. To be considered a priority 1 applicant, you must live on campus as of the beginning of spring quarter or have applied for priority retention.

Following current residents, the next priority for on campus housing is first year students. The UW strives to ease the freshman transition to campus life, and to provide on-campus housing for as many as we can accommodate. HFS guarantees an assignment to all new freshmen who apply during the priority 2 application period, May 7 through May 15. All other applicants will be assigned as space permits.

If a waiting list is established, preference may be given to students who live outside commuting distance, regardless of priority group.
