More than just a paycheck

In addition to that paycheck, working for HFS can give you a head start on your future career! That’s what former students tell us. In the following Husky Hired profiles, UW grads reveal what was valuable about their HFS jobs and how those experiences had a direct connection to their professional success.

Now Accepting Job Applications

HFS employs students for a variety of positions, and we are accepting applications for student employment with UW Dining for winter/spring quarter 2015. Please apply NOW for priority consideration. Students with weekday lunchtime availability will be given preference. We are actively hiring at this time and will continue to do so quarterly.

International Students

HFS can hire international students of F1 or J1 status who are attending the UW as full-time, matriculated students (minimum undergraduate or graduate credits may be required). You also have to have been in the United States for at least 10 days before you can be hired. If you are hired, we will give you information about applying for your Social Security card, which you may be able to apply for up to 30 days before your start date. Make sure your Local Address is updated on MyUW to speed up the process. For more information, contact the International Student Services Office.

Work Study

HFS has work study positions! If you are eligible for work study, please let us know upon hire so we can set you up with the proper forms. Work study is granted through the UW Office of Financial Aid.
